Thanks to its close relationships with companies associated with Confindustria, ECOLE is in a privileged position to carry out research and exchange expertise acquired in the fields of business, innovation, technical improvement, and organizational development, activating its network of associations to involve companies, collect real cases, and identify skills needs, with particular attention to the transferability of good practices.
ECOLE will be able to draw on the experiences, lessons learned, and project outputs developed during the last Interreg Italy-Switzerland programming period as part of the RISICO project, with regard to the methodology of intervention in companies, thanks to the Innovation Assessment developed and tested, and will also be able to capitalize on the digital platform developed thanks to the synergies and territorial networks developed with partners.
In recent years, ECOLE has gained extensive experience in projects funded by the EU or other bodies on a wide range of innovative and sustainable topics for the modernization of SMEs in particular (participating in particular as lead partner in various Erasmus + KA220 or Interreg projects).
As the Italian lead partner, ECOLE can therefore contribute its research expertise on Generative AI, developed in the context of various projects focusing on the opportunities and risks of AI, promoting the responsible, sustainable, and value-oriented adoption of AI.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
ECOLE, Enti COnfindustriali Lombardi per l’Education (Lombardy Industrial Organizations for Education), is an organization that deals with training and employment services. Founded in 2009, it is now a consortium that brings together seven associations from the industrial system: AIOP Lombardia, Associazione Industriali di Cremona, Assolombarda, Confindustria Alto Milanese, Confindustria Como, Confindustria Lecco e Sondrio, and Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre through their respective service companies.
ECOLE supports companies and customers in the design and management of training activities, thanks in part to the opportunities offered by regional, national, and European funding. The main target of its activities are SMEs, for which it acts as an interlocutor capable of translating the evolutionary trends of the market interpreted by the relevant industrial associations into operational terms.

In the project, ated brings together its community of businesses and professionals to identify use cases, collect testimonials, and facilitate the matching of needs and solutions.
It organizes events, talks, and targeted initiatives to raise awareness of the opportunities and limitations of generative AI, promoting informed adoption in the local productive fabric.
It helps to build bridges between companies, technology providers, and the world of research, encouraging guided and shared experimentation. Its role strengthens the cross-border dimension, accelerating the exchange of experiences between Italy and Switzerland.
To pursue its goals, the Association may collaborate with other associations with similar aims.

ATED is the reference point in Ticino for awareness-raising, training, and networking on digital technologies.
The association aims to provide services to its members, encourage the use of new technologies, and promote professional ethics among operators in the sector, thus actively contributing to the development of the cantonal economy.

LIUC brings scientific expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Lombardy business system to the project.
It analyzes trends, use cases, and organizational impacts of generative AI, translating evidence into clear guidelines and operational tools for SMEs.
It supports the interpretation of innovation needs and the identification of high-value application areas, with a specific focus on the skills needed to manage the transformation.
It leverages resources and academic platforms to make the results openly available and replicable.

LIUC – Cattaneo University is committed to conducting useful and rigorous studies, in the knowledge that research is the main tool for addressing future challenges.
The university aims to develop excellent research in the four scientific areas that characterize it: management sciences, economics, industrial and information engineering, and legal sciences.

Servizi Confindustria Varese (SCV) participates in AI-GENIALE as a partner, providing its expertise in SME engagement and management training to promote the informed adoption of generative artificial intelligence to support innovation processes.
Its contribution focuses on listening to the needs of businesses, translating the results into operational tools, and disseminating them to the local production system.

For fifty years, it has been supporting the local production system with an integrated portfolio that includes managerial and technical training, compliance and management system consulting, energy services, and an area dedicated to innovation and subsidized finance.
SCV is also an accredited training institution in the Lombardy Region, guaranteeing the quality and continuity of the services provided.
The Training area offers short and medium-term classroom and online courses, as well as tailor-made in-company courses for managers, technicians, and professionals.
The catalog covers all the main business functions, with specific lines dedicated to innovation, digitalization, and AI, ensuring a practical and results-oriented approach.
The Compliance department supports companies in setting up and maintaining organizational and regulatory controls, including 231 models, privacy/GDPR, and management systems, integrating assessment, training, and implementation support to ensure consistency with regulatory requirements.
The Energy area oversees the entire cycle of procurement and management of electricity and gas supplies: needs analysis, request and evaluation of offers, negotiation and contract management, as well as invoice verification and paperwork with the relevant authorities. The offer is completed by diagnostics and tools for energy efficiency and monitoring.
The Innovation and Finance area supports the scouting of regional, national, and European measures, the design of applications, and operational support up to reporting, with the aim of transforming public opportunities into concrete projects for business competitiveness.
